MONROVIA, LIBERIA- Liberia has been selected to host the 16^th West African Zonal Scout Conference and 12^th West African Youth Forum in 2026.

The week-long gathering will bring together scouters from all fifteen West African states.

Also, the Liberia Scout Association has won one of the six seats on the West African Zonal Committee, the administrative body overseeing regional scouting affairs between conferences.

The West African Zonal Conference serves as a platform for national scout organizations to share experiences, develop regional strategies, and strengthen cooperation among them.

In 2009, the 5^th West African Zonal Conference was held in Liberia under the Presidency of Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who at the time served as Chief Patron of the Liberia Scout Association.
