Pres. Boakai Breaks Grounds for Nat’l Resource Center Construction of Group of 77

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has officially broken grounds for the construction of a National Resource Center for the Group of 77.

During the launch on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Brewerville, President Boakai said:” The Resource Center will dignify the lives of persons living with disabilities.

The facilities will contain a residential lodge, a school for livelihood support, and a clinic for members of the Disabled Community.

The ongoing initiative is under the auspices of Liberia’s

Second Lady, Stephani Dahn-Koung.

Madam Dahn-Koung said:” Empowering members of the Disabled Community is key to reducing poverty and dependency.”

Meanwhile, the Group of 77 lauded the ongoing initiative, describing the groundbreaking ceremony as the dawn of a new day for the Disabled Community.
