Three-Member State of ECOWAS Sign Free-Roaming Tripartite Agreement…

SIERRA LEONE, WEST AFRICA-Three-member state of ECOWAS have signed a free-roaming tripartite agreement to foster regional connectivity.

The signing ceremony, which took place on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, was held between Liberia, Sierra Leone and the Gambia.

Speaking via Zoom from Nigeria, the Executive Director of the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA), Aliyu Yusuf-Aboki, described the initiative as a milestone for the ECOWAS region.

According to Mr. Aboki, the signing of the agreement is a step in the right direction in advancing regional integration and digital transformation among ECOWAS member states.

The WATRA Executive Director also disclosed that the move signifies the shared commitment of ECOWAS member states to foster economic growth and improve connectivity in the region.
