Liberia Chamber of Commerce Concludes Mediation Conference

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC) has concluded a mediation conference with the National Port Authority (NPA), APM Terminals, and key stakeholders.

The key entities include cement manufacturers, rice importers, and Trading Corporation, as well as AMASCO, representing the shipping lines.

The conference was intended to address critical challenges relating to berthing schedules, excessive demurrage costs, and their impact on the Liberian market.

According to an LCC release issued recently, a technical working committee was established to review and revise the berthing schedules for all vessels to improve port efficiency.

The President of the LCC, Natty Davis, expressed optimism about the constructive dialogue and the commitment shown by the entities to address the challenges faced by the Private Sector.

He emphasized that the conference marked a significant step towards improving port operations and creating a conducive business environment in Liberia.
