MONROVIA, LIBERIA-NAYMOTE-Partners for Democratic Development has released a comprehensive President Meter Performance Report on the Liberian Government, covering January to August 2024.

The report says out of one hundred nineteen promises tracked, three promises constituting three percent, have been fully completed, and seventy promises constituting fifty-nine present and being worked on.

Combined the report says the Government scored sixty-one percent for eight months.

While seventeen promises constituting fourteen percent have not yet started, the report stated that twenty-nine promises, amounting to twenty percent were not rated due to insufficient data or delays in action.

According to NAMOTE, the assessment of the Government’s performance from January to August 2024 reveals mixed results in implementing the promises made by President Boakai’s Government.

Meanwhile, the Civil Society Organization said the report covered promises in Microeconomic stability, infrastructural development, health and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), education, and the rule of law.

At the same time, NAYMOTE is encouraging the Government to address delays, particularly in areas such as anti-corruption measures, rule of law, and education reform.

It also urged the public to stay informed and actively participate in the democratic processes of the country.

NAYMOTE commended the Government’s focus on infrastructure and governance while recommending swift action on key reforms needed to drive sustainable growth.

The recommended reforms, especially in sectors like health, education, the fight against illicit drugs, and corruption, the organization will improve service delivery and maintain oversight of public infrastructure and investments.

It said that without those measures, the frameworks needed to support economic growth and create jobs would remain fragile.

NAYMOTE noted that the administration must accelerate the legislative and policy-driven processes required to turn those promises into action.
