Liberia’s People’s Democratic Party withdraws from Coalition for Democratic Change

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia’s People Democratic Party (LPDP) has withdrawn from the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).

The CDC comprises the Congress for Democratic Change, the National Patriotic Party, and Liberia’s People’s Democratic Party.

According to the Party’s Vice National Chairman for Press and Public Affairs, George Woodtor, the withdrawal was reached from a resolution signed by more than two-thirds of the Party’s membership.

Mr. Woodtor said:” The resolution was signed by the majority of the Party’s members and its National Executive Committee, which was done by the new coalition framework document of 2023.”

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in Congo Town, Mr. Woodtor disclosed that the Party’s withdrawal has been submitted to the Chair of the National Executive Committee of the CDC, Janga Kowo.
