Pres. Boakai Mandates State Owned Enterprises to Review Payments…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph has mandated the Director of the Bureau of State Owned Enterprises to thoroughly review all payments, enumerations, stipends and benefits extended to Board members.

According to a release issued recently, the President’s directive is in fulfillment of the Liberian Government’s stance to re-enforce Public Sector transparency and accountability at SOEs.

The release also quotes the SOE Director, Arthur Massaquoi, as saying the SOE review exercise also seeks to enhance public trust and promote sustainable development and economic growth.

Mr. Massaquoi indicated that his administration will exert its core function of oversight, professional regulation to curb waste and leakages void of “business as usual”.

Director Massaquoi said:” As the Bureau embarks on its revitalization efforts, it will endeavor to serve as a beacon of excellence in public administration and set a landmark precedent of accountability and integrity across all sectors.
