Minister Piah Commends Amb. Endee For Immense Contribution To Liberian Culture…

Monrovia, Thursday, March 7, 2024 – Culture Ambassador, Juli Endee, has again received huge commendation for her crucial role in projecting a positive image of the Country through Culture.

The latest commendation comes from Liberia’s new Minister of Information Culture Affairs and Tourism, Jerolinmek Mathew Piah.

Minister Piah recounted the work of Ambassador Endee over the years, noting that she has contributed significantly in making Liberia an attractive tourist destination and enviable cultural hub in the sub-region.

Speaking Tuesday when he officially took over the Ministry, the new MICAT Boss described Ambassador Endee as true patriot of national growth and development.

He added that the Ministry looks forward to tapping into the expertise of Ambassador Endee to promote Liberia’s culture heritage.

“Shouldn’t we tap into her expertise? Shouldn’t we use her expertise to help revive our National Culture Troop to a level it should be? Minister Piah asked of Ambassador Endee, at the well-attended and elaborate program on Capitol Hill.

The National Culture Center in Kendeja, was traded by government for the RLJ Beach Resort under the Administration of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Ambassador Endee and the Liberia Crusaders for Peace, an organization she founded in 1995, have since gained national recognition, standing up for culture and taking on national initiatives on behalf of the country.

Now, the new Minister of Information is counting on the services of Madam Endee to revive interest in the Country’s Culture, making it the face of the Nation.

The MICAT Boss at the same time, disclosed that the Ministry is working out modalities to establish the National Tourism Authority consistent with President Joseph Boakai’s vision of fully activating the tourism sector and utilizing its full potential.

Meanwhile, Culture Ambassador, Juli Endee, has assured Liberians of her commitment in showcasing the Country’s Culture both at home and globally.

Ambassador Endee said good cultural practices are pivotal to fostering peace and democracy, pledging her full commitment to every national endeavor in such direction.

“We hereby pledge our support and recommit ourselves to continue working with the government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Information Culture Affairs and Tourism, in advancing our culture, peace, and national development” the Liberian Culture Ambassador noted.

The Crusader for Peace Executive Director is at the same time calling on Liberians to embrace their culture, to enhance the Country’s growth and development.

She also praised to the immediate past administration of President George Weah for the cordial working relationship over the years.

The recognition by Minister Piah is another attestation of Ambassador Endee’s immense contributions to the national cause, spanning about three decades.

Her, organization, the Liberia Crusaders for Peace has won the support and admiration of governments and partners, using culture and performing arts to promote national causes such as polio eradication, awareness on Ebola, Covid and census, through effective community based social mobilization.
