Pres. Boakai Calls on Gov. of Ghana…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has called on the Government of Ghana to ensure the safety of Liberians at the Buduburam Refugee Camp.

The President has received reports of the ongoing demolition of the former Liberian Refugee Camp affecting hundreds of Liberians.

President Boakai wants the Ghanaian Authorities to intervene to ensure the safety, protection, and humane treatment of Liberians living in the Camp.

The Liberian Leader has since expressed empathy with Liberians affected, urging them to remain calm as the situation is fully assessed and an amicable solution is in sight.

Meanwhile, the Executive Mansion said the Liberian Leader will receive guidance on the matter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and line agencies as to the next step to be taken.
