“Joint Presidential Transitional Team will not conduct audit”-Foreign Minister Kemayah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah has clarified that the Joint Presidential Transitional Team was not commissioned to audit the outgoing Liberian Government.
Minister Kemayah said:” The Team, pursuant to Executive Order 123, was constituted to ensure the 2024 Transition Process is carried out smoothly.”
The Dean of the Cabinet spoke on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Monrovia, at the opening of the Team Sector Meeting on Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
Foreign Minister Kemayah also clarified that his statement is no way means that the outgoing Government of President George Weah is afraid to be audited.
The Head of the Joint Presidential Transitional Team, Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, noted that the outgoing Government of Liberia is open to audit by the incoming Government of Ambassador Joseph Boakai.
