MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC) is expected to certificate President-elect, Joseph Boakai and Vice President-elect, Jeremiah Koung, later today.
An NEC release issued on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, said the program is expected to take place at the Headquarters of the Commission at the James Fromayan Conference Hall in Sinkor, Monrovia, beginning at eleven in the morning.
The President and Vice President-elect did not take part in the recent certification ceremony of representatives and Senators, due to international engagements.
Reports reaching ELBC say scores of partisans, supporters, and executives of the Unity Party (UP) are expected to grace the certification ceremony today, December 27, 2023.
