35 Farming Communities in Nimba County Signed Memorandum of Understanding…..

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA- Thirty-five farming communities in Nimba County have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Volunteer for Sustainable Development in Africa (VOSIEDA).

VOSIEDA, an international non-governmental organization, has been involved with the implementation of reforestation and climate change programs across Liberia.

The Project Manager, Abigail Cooker, said:” The agreement seeks to capacitate farmers in planting local crops, including cassava, plantain, and vegetables.”

ELBC Correspondent in the county said farmers have commended VOSIEDA for the numerous empowerment initiatives undertaken by the organization.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Patricia Gono and Prince Kessay attributed their successes in the village savings to the empowerment initiatives of the Volunteer for Sustainable Development in Africa.
