Ballot Papers for October 10 Elections Arrive in Monrovia- Elections Commission

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Ballot papers for the 2023 October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections have arrived in the country.

The papers, according to the National Elections Commission-Liberia Chairperson, Davidetta Browne-Lansanah, arrived on Monday, September 25, 2023, from Ghana via the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County.

Madam Browne-Lansanah said:” Three–million-three-hundred-twenty-thousand-five hundred constitute presidential papers, while four-hundred-two-thousand-one-hundred-twenty-two are senatorial ballot papers, and three-million-four-hundred-three-thousand-two-hundred-eight also constitute representative ballot papers.”

She said the ballot papers are currently being stored under tight security protection.

Madam Browne-Lansanah made the disclosure on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the median edition of the Commission’s weekly briefing.

The NEC Boss also disclosed that deployment of ballot papers and other sensitive and non-sensitive election materials across the nineteen magisterial offices will commence in the coming days.
