Thousands of CDCians and Supporters Welcome PRES. Weah to Lofa County

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA- Thousands of Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) supporters and partisans have welcomed the Liberian Leader and entourage to Zorzor City in Lofa County.

The supporters said President Weah who was rejected by them in 2027, has justified reasons for his re-election based on his development records.

They named construction works on the Gbarnga-Lofa Road, housing units for pregnant women, and market structures, as some major achievements of President Weah.

They also spotlighted the tuition waiver at the University of Liberia and other government-owned colleges across the country, as well as the payment of West African Senior School Certificate Exam fees for all twelve graders.

In an ELBC interview on Monday, September 26, 2023, the partisans and supporters vowed to change the political narratives in Lofa County by overwhelmingly re-electing President George Weah on October 10.

Meanwhile, President George Weah has disclosed plans for the commencement of Phase Two of the Gbarnga to Lofa Road.

President Weah said:” The Liberian Government has finalized discussions with partners based in the United Arab Emirates, as a promise keeper, I have committed the Government to completing the road corridor in Lofa County.”

He said:” This can only be accomplished if the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)-led administration is given a second-term mandate.”

President George Weah made the remarks on Monday, during a political rally in Salayea, Lofa County.

At the same time, a representative of the First Time Voters in Salayea says the development track record of President George Weah is incomparable in the county.

Mr. Patrick Vesillie said:” Under the watchful eyes of the Liberian Leader, Lofa County is benefiting from the ongoing construction of the Gbarnga-Lofa Road corridor.”

Mr. Vesillie noted that the road construction which has been stalled for years has brought relief to the business community and economic growth.

He also lauded President Weah for transforming the education sector by the inclusion of more than three thousand supplementary teachers on the payroll of the Liberian Government.

The Salayea First Time Voters Representative believes that giving President George Weah a six-year mandate will enable him to complete several developmental projects initiated by him.
