“Remain professional and Neutral…” ECOWAS Special Rep. to Liberia Cautions Liberian Media

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-ECOWAS Special Representative to Liberia is cautioning the Liberian media to remain professional and neutral during and after the October elections.

Madam Josephine Nkrumah said:” The media has a very crucial role to play in the elections and must therefore create a level-playing field for all parties, candidates, and Liberians to participate.”

The ECOWAS Envoy believes this will contribute to the country’s peace process and enhance the growth of the country’s democratic systems.

Madam Nkrumah also reaffirmed ECOWAS’ unwavering commitment to working with the Liberian Government to ensure a peaceful, credible, and transparent process.

The ECOWAS Special Representative to Liberia also expressed confidence in the ability of the National Elections Commission to hold free and fair elections in October.
