MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has crafted a new Public Financial Management (PFM) strategy aimed at digitizing the budget process.

Speaking on ELBC Economic Hour on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the Coordinator of the PFM Reform Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Finance, Joseph Fahnbulleh, said:” The new strategy will synchronize donor intervention within the PFM landscape of Liberia.”

Mr. Fahnbulleh disclosed that the four-year strategy runs from 2023 to 2026.

He noted that the new policy will further promote transparency and accountability in revenue generation, and bridge the gap of budget execution and financial reporting, among others.

The Coordinator of the PFM Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Finance thanked the Liberian Government and partners for the massive support for the implementation of the new policy.
