Nat’l Elections Commission Begins Voter Registration Cards Replacement

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has begun the replacement of lost or damaged biometric voter registration cards at the Commission’s nineteen Magisterial Offices across Liberia.

The process, which kicked off on Monday, August 14, 2023, will end on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

According to a release issued on Monday, August 14, 2023, voters whose cards got missing or damaged will be given the opportunity to participate in the card replacement exercise.

The release is quoted as saying voters are to pay five US Dollars to the Liberia Revenue Authority to obtain new biometric voter registration cards.

The new biometric voter registration cards will contain the existing details of voters.
