Pres. Weah Urges Liberians to Put Country First above Personal Greed

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is urging Liberians, especially actors, to put the interest of the country above personal greed.

President Weah said:” It is incumbent on all Liberians to maintain peace and stability amid their political, social, and affiliations.”

The Liberian Leader spoke on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, during an NEC-Engagement meeting with presidential aspirants at the Commission’s Headquarters in Sinkor, Monrovia.

President Weah also reminded his political rivals to uphold the Farmington River Declaration.

The President noted that adherence to the rules enshrined in the Farmington document will further create an enabling environment for peaceful, fair, and transparent elections.
