MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Political Leader of the opposition Liberian People’s Party (LPP) has paid an unprecedented visit to the Headquarters of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), in Congo Town.

Cllr. Tiawan Gongloe said:” Amid political difference, it is incumbent upon political parties to maintain the peace of the country, above personal interest.”

Cllr. Gongloe noted that disagreement in political ideology does not mean physically attacking each other, but a national contestation that requires one’s party to articulate its platform to attract more support towards victory.

The LPP Political Leader maintained that his visit was deliberate, thanking CDC partisans for the warm reception.

Since the CDC-led Government came to power in 2018, this was the first time for an opposition political leader to deliberately pay a courtesy visit to the party.
