MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has passed the draft-related budget for fiscal year 2023 in the tone of over 759 million US Dollars.

The Plenary’s decision followed the recent submission of the instrument by President George Weah.

The restated budget, according to ELBC Legislative Reporter, suffered a sharp decrease of over twenty-three Million USD.

In his communication, President Weah attributed the situation to the reduction in the volume of trade, expiration of surcharge on petroleum, reduction of tariff on petroleum, mining sector, among others.
