“Don’t Give Credence to Empty Promises…”-Pres. Weah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is urging Liberians not to give credence to empty promises from the opposition because they have no tangibles to show.

According to President Weah, the former Unity Party (UP) Administration should not be trusted with public office, after it betrayed the confidence reposed in it during the twelve-year rule.

President Weah was speaking on Monday, July 17, 2023, during an appreciation ceremony by thousands of partisans and supporters at the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Headquarters in Congo Town.

The Liberian Leader said:” The former ruling UP’s action to squander the country’s development is not just deceptive to Liberians, but was intended to render undue hardship on the youthful population.”

President Weah noted that in the coming days, the CDC will embark on sensitizing citizens about strides made by his administration ahead of the much anticipated October 10 Elections.

At the same time, the new Campaign Chairman of the CDC, Eugene Nagbe, is rallying support for the re-election of President Weah.

Mr. Nagbe was announced by President Weah during the “Thank You Rally” organized by partisans and supporters of the CDC.

Addressing thousands of partisans, Mr. Nagbe said it is time to ensure the Liberian Leader is given a second term.

He, however, boasted that the President has done tremendously well for the past five years of his leadership.

The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Stalwart also commended partisans for turning out in huge numbers at the event.
