Old Man Kanyea dies at 162 Years…

GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-A man believed to be one-hundred-sixty-two years old has died in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.

Mr. Chorb-Bia-Kanyea was born in 1861 in Gbazon District, Grand Gedeh County.

Old Man Chorb-Bia Kanyea was a soldier of the Liberian Frontier Force,   and carried Liberia’s fifteenth President, Edwin Barclay, from Nimba County to Toe Town in Grand Gedeh County.

Old Man Chorb-Bia Kanyea has since been buried.
