Fire Left Four Family Members Dead in Ganta City, Nimba County

GANTA, LIBERIA-A fire incident has left four family members dead in Ganta, Nimba County.

The cause of the fire has not been established, but the victims include Ruth, Sam, and Samantha Kaimue, and Mary Koffa.

A survivor of the fire incident, Nelly Kaimue, said:” My father Sam Kaimue, one of the victims, just returned from the United States on Thursday, July 6, 2023, to visit the family.”

Miss Kaimue said:” The family did not go to bed earlier upon his arrival from the US,  and I awoke to the news of the fire, hearing my parents and family members calling for help, but was too late when neighbors arrived.”

The fire incident left residents of Ganta and surrounding communities in shock, and are calling on the police to investigate the matter.
