According to an Executive Mansion release issued recently, the discussion will focus on cementing ties, trade, and cooperation on international affairs, peace, and security.

President Weah left the country on Saturday, July 1, 2023, on a three-day working visit to Israel to further strengthen the already existing bilateral relationship between the two nations.

The Liberian Leader is being accompanied by Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie, Defense Minister Daniel Ziakahn, Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, and Deputy House Speaker Fonati Koffa, among others.

Meanwhile, President Weah will on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, receive the prestigious Friends of Zion Award from the Israeli Government.

Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie disclosed that the award is in recognition of President Weah’s strides made in maintaining a strong bilateral relationship with Israel over the years.

Minister Rennie said:” The award will also be in recognition of the Liberian Leader’s commitment to the cause of the Jewish people.”

He named the Wailing Wall, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, as some sites visited by the Liberian Leader, along with his entourage in Jerusalem, among others.
