MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has confirmed the Managing Director Designate of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC), Alphonso Gaye.

It followed a report from the Senate Committee on Public Corporation on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

The Committee recommended that the nominee unconditionally be confirmed, based on his experience and competency.

Mr. Gaye will now replace the LWSC’s former Managing Director, Dwana Kamara, who resigned to vie for a representative seat in Bomi County.

Prior to his nomination, Mr. Gaye served as Senator of Grand Gedeh County for nine years.
