Pres. Weah Submits Two Agreements to Senate for Ratification

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has submitted two agreements to the Liberian Senate for ratification.

They are Export Credit Facility and Down Payment Facility Payment.

The agreements were signed between Liberia, through the Finance Ministry as a borrower and arranged by Bank Leumi Le-Israel B.M. as agent.

In the President’s communication, the agreements seek to improve the agriculture sector, through the construction of agro-industrial poultry complex.

President Weah noted that the agreements if ratified, will have a significant impact on the agriculture sector by providing food security and creating jobs for Liberians.

Meanwhile, the two agreements have been forwarded to the Senate Committee on Ways, Means, Finance, and Budget to report to Plenary in two weeks.
