MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The University of Liberia (UL) now has a new professional discipline program, establishing the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.

It followed a unanimous decision passed by the Faculty Senate of the UL.

The Department shall form an integral part of the Amos Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities to offer Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Fine and Performing Arts, including Diploma and Certificate Programs.

In a petition to the UL Faculty Senate, the Amos Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities said the curriculum emphasizes the critical and creative relationship between content and form and awareness of historical connections.
