Labor Ministry Begins One-Month Inspection of South Eastern Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Labor has commenced a one-month rigorous inspection of South Eastern Liberia covering River Cess, Sinoe, Grand Kru, Maryland, River Gee, Grand Gedeh and Nimba Counties.

The primary objective is to ensure full compliance with the Labor Law and Regulations of Liberia, by ensuring decent and safe working environment for workers and improvement in salaries and benefits for workers.

The Team also seeks to increase Government’s revenue through enforcement of work permits payment and levy fines against violators.

The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and Liberia Immigration Service will form part of the inspectorate team.
