RIVERCESS COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Head of the Sande Society in Rivercess County is cautioning traditional leaders in the County to immediately halt the practice of Female Genital Mutilation in the area.
Madam Mamie Toe call comes in the wake of reports that over one-hundred school going children are in the custody of traditional leaders in the County.
She noted that the children should be in school, instead of being allegedly kidnapped by the traditional leaders in held sande schools across the County.
Madam Toe urged traditional leaders in the county to adhere to the ban on FGM by the Liberian Government.
