MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the National Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Edward Wonkeryor, has assured students of the Harbel Community College that government will address issues unfolding at the college.

The institution has been rocked by a go-slow by the faculty and persistent student protests in Harbel.

However, Dr. Wonkeryor has assured the students that learning activities will soon return to normal at the institution.

Students at the institution recently staged a protest demanding the removal of the school President Dr. Syrulwa Somah.

According to them, since the appointment of Dr. Somah in 2016, the college has retrogressed.

The NCHE Director General recently addressed the students, following a meeting with the College Board Chair, Madam Louise Reeves, in Harbel.
