“Empower local farmers to boost food production”-Behkie

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Agriculture Coordinator of Tappita District in Nimba County wants government empower local farmers, to boost food production in the area.

Mr. Moore Behkie said:” Without the necessary support from government and partners, it is difficult to undertake huge agricultural projects.”

Mr. Behkie noted that it is disheartening to see a country which has rich soil, importing rice and other food products.

He said:” With support, rice, cassava and other food items can be produced and harvested for consumption and at the same time export some.”

The Tappita District Agriculture Coordinator believes for such dream to be realized, it involves the collective efforts of all citizens, government and its partners.
