“Help empower neglected older people…”-Mr. Welleh

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Founder of a charity organization called “Food for Health Initiative” wants politicians reach out to help empower neglected older people in the society.

Mr. Anthony Welleh said:” It is discouraging to see a lot of elderly people neglected, and left to roam the streets begging for handouts before making ends meet.”

Mr. further called for a coordinated effort aimed at improving the lives of needy elderly people in the Liberian society, adding that old age is not a curse.

The “Food for Health Initiative” Founder said over the last three years, his organization has been giving back to the elderly by donating assorted food items, and providing health services to many of them in Johnsonville and its surroundings.

Mr. Anthony Welleh then disclosed that his organization has purchased fifteen acres of land in Todee District to build homes for old folks in the future.

He spoke on ELBC Super Morning Show on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
