Maritime Commissioner Nagbe dismisses opposition claims….., calls it a blackmail

GANTA, NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Liberia Maritime Commissioner Eugene Nagbe has dismissed suggestions from some opposition figures that the ongoing Cabinet Retreat in Ganta is a Safari.

Commissioner Nagbe termed such claims as a blackmail intended to see citizens against the Government.

He clarified that the ongoing retreat is intended to review Government’s progress, and improve its agenda in the interest of the country and its people.

Cabinet members are discussing a way forward to enhance the workings of Government.

Commissioner Nagbe added that the claims are another attempt by the opposition to buy sympathy from an already gullible public, and setback gains made by Government.

He spoke to reporters Monday, July 11, 2022, on the sidelines of the ongoing retreat in Gompa City, Nimba County.
