Liberia National Police investigates Agent Patrick Kollie of the Executive Protection Service for …..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Protection Agency (EPS) has, with immediate effect, disrobed and turned over one of its officers to the Liberia National Police (LNP) for investigation.

The EPS’s action comes after agent Patrick Kollie allegedly shot and killed one Valentine Johnson at the Police Academy on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Paynesville.

An EPS release said the institution has since extended its condolences to the bereaved family, for the death of Valentine Johnson.

Meanwhile, the LNP says it is investigating circumstances leading to the shooting incident.

Police Spokesman Moses Carter says:” At the close of the investigation, the LNP will alert the public in the soonest possible time about the outcome of their probe.”

Suspect Kollie will remain in the custody of the Liberia National Police, while the investigation continues.
