New Investors Target Rice Procession Factories in Liberia

Monrovia, June 20, 2022 – A team of investors, upon the invitation of the National Bureau of Concessions, is in the Country for a major possible investment.

They are exploring the possibility of investing in rice production with the aim of adding value to locally produced rice for export.

In a brief interview with reporters Monday, the Director General of NBC, Atty. Edwin Dennis, said the investors are from Rivers Rock Rice Company in India.

Atty. Dennis said discussions for possible investment in the Country have recommenced after it stalled due to the coronavirus two years ago.

The NBC Boss said currently the team is being familiarized with relevant Government officials and stakeholders including House Speaker, Dr. Bhofal Chambers.

 Atty. Edwin Dennis described Monday’s meeting with the Speaker as fruitful and a step towards initiating the discussions for required legislative proceedings.
