GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-A tragic accident has left one person dead and two others injured at the Bea Mountain Company, in Grand Cape Mount County.
The incident occurred when a storm blew several containers at the Heavy Machinery Equipment Workshop, which fell on a vehicle, resulting to the death and injuries.
The Chairman of the Bea Mountain Workers Union, Samuel Roberts, said:” An employee, only identified as Joshua, was pronounced dead on arrival at a health center, while the other two are in critical conditions.”
Meanwhile, BMC Union’s Chairman is calling on the Labor Ministry to intervene, to ensure that all employees at the company are covered under an insurance policy.
Mr. Robert asserted that more than seventy-five-percent of employees are not covered.
