MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, in Monrovia, has received a significant that will improve the quality of medical treatment.
It comes as the hospital is expected to unveil its first ever Dialysis Center, a facility provided by the Liberian Government and partners.
In an ELBC interview on Monday, February 28, 2022, Health Minister Wilhelmina Jallah said: “The Center will help treat many diseases, including chronic kidney disease, diabetes, among others.”
According to Dr. Jallah, the 2020/2021 statistic shows that two-hundred-forty-three persons were diagnosed of chronic kidney disease, one-hundred-ninety-five persons died due to the lack of dialysis center.
She noted that the center will alleviate many diseases experienced and also reduce external expensive incurred by Liberians seeking treatment abroad.
President George Weah will join health officials and the hospital administration to dedicate the new Dialysis Center.
