Risk Institute, Haywood Mission face possibility of being shut down…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Risk Institute and Haywood Mission High schools in Monrovia are facing the prospects of being shut down by the Ministry of Education.

Education Minister, Ansu Sonii, said:” The Ministry can no longer discuss with the two institutions for their continuous violation of the policies of the Government of Liberia.”

In an ELBC interview on Monday, January 3, 2022, Minister further said the schools will be heavily   fined, warning that there will be no compromises.

The Ministry has also banned the schools from registering students for the National Exams administered by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

According to Minister Sonii, the schools have persistently violated the policies of Government and regulations governing the sector.

The Education Boss said students from Risk   Institute and Haywood Mission wishing to sit the WASSCE Exams can only do so under different schools.

He said that the WAEC Codes and registration portals for both schools have been closed.
