22-year-old man sentenced to 22 months imprisonment for drug trafficking

HARPER, MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Magisterial Court in Harper, Maryland County, has sentenced a 22-year-old man to twenty-two months imprisonment for drug trafficking.

The sentencing came after Eric Wesseh pleaded guilty to the charge of being in possession of illicit drugs, when he appeared in court on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Harper City.

Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Maryland County Commander, Joseph Tageddine, said:” Wesseh was arrested on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021, at Little Wlebo Checkpoint, with over eighty-one wrapped of compressed marijuana.”

Sergeant Tageddine said:” Eric Wesseh was on his way to the Fish Town Beach, just outside Harper, to carry out his transaction, when he was pic ked up.”

Eric Wesseh reportedly placed the compressed marijuana in a water cooler, under the guise of selling soft drinks.
