MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie, says lies have  been fabricated and posted on facebook by individuals do not augur well for Liberia.

Minister Rennie said the lies are only intended to undermine the growth and development of the country.

He told ELBC Tuesday, 1, 2021, that the Information Ministry will focus its energy on the substantive issues about the country, rather than give credence to social media falsehoods.

According to Minister Rennie, the Ministry will do more in providing adequate information to the people on government’s development programs and activities.

At the same time Minister Rennie said government will support the various community radio stations because they are vital in the dissemination of government’s policies to people.

He however, clarified that the Ministry is not aware of a media organization known as the Society of Liberian Journalists but vowed to gather information on the organization.
