Grand Bassa County bestows two new major projects

GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Two major projects worth over one-hundred–ninety- thousand United States Dollars have been dedicated in Grand Bassa County.

Grand Bassa County Superintendent, Janjay Baikpeh, said funds for the projects were taken from the County and Social Development Funds.

Superintendent Baikpeh said:” The Commissioner’s Compound and a bridge in Zuehgar Town in Districts One and Four are in line with Government’s Pro-Poor Agenda on the decentralization of developmental projects.”

He said the projects will renew citizens’ confidence in government, as they begin to see tangible development in their respective communities.

The Grand Bassa County Superintendent disclosed that the construction of the bridge will boost trade and enable over one-hundred-thousand residents of the area to commute freely.

In a related development, citizens of Grand Bassa County are currently attending a two-day County Development Council Sitting in Buchanan, to decide the usage of the County and Social Development Funds.
