Chief Justice turns over another Judge for alleged Ethical Misconduct

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Chief Justice Francis Korkpor has surrendered another Circuit Court Judge to the Judiciary Inquiry Committee (JIC) for alleged ethical misconduct.

Judge Sakajipo Wollor, Resident Judge of Criminal Court “D’, was referred to the JIC based on a complaint filed by Nathaniel Zota and Joe Dennis.

According to ELBC Judicial Reporter, Judge Wollor was accused by both men of releasing seven suspected armed robbers from the Monrovia Central Prison, while they were before Criminal Court “A” for indictment.

In their complaint, the two men maintained that Judge Wollor’s action was illegal, claiming that they had evidence against the seven suspected armed robbers to implicate them to the October 7, 2020 armed robbery incident in the Careysburg Township.

Meanwhile, the Judge and complainants are to appear for hearing before the JIC, headed by Associate Justice Yusuf Kaba, on today Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Temple of Justice.
