Liberians plead for extension of Diabetes Treatment Program

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Beneficiaries of the just ended six-month free diabetes treatment program at the German-Liberian Clinic in Paynesville are passionately pleading for extension of the package.

The free diabetes program was implemented by the Clinic, through a grant from its international partner, Action Meador in Germany.

Speaking Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the close of the program, the Officer-in-Charge at the clinic, Edward Kollie, the Clinic is grateful to its partner for the support to underprivileged Liberians suffering from diabetes.

Mr. Kollie said:” Though the program has ended, the clinic will continue to render services to diabetes patients at an affordable cost.”

The beneficiaries who spoke to reporters during the program lauded the clinic and partner for implementing the program, and appeal for its continuation.

More than two-thousand Liberians benefitted from the six-month free diabetes program.
