Liberian Lawmakers called on Liberian Embassy in Sierra Leone

SIERRA LEONE, WEST AFRICA-Some Liberian Lawmakers have paid a Courtesy visit to the Liberian Embassy in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Senators Steve Zargo, Johnathan Kaipay and Representative Clarence Massaquoi, who represented Liberia at an ECOWAS Parliamentary Seminar, were received by Musu Jatu Ruhle, Liberia’s Ambassador to Sierra Leone.

Speaking earlier, Ambassador Ruhle told the Lawmakers that since her ascendency; she has constructed the current Liberian Embassy in that Country, securing three acres of Land during the visit of President George Weah in 2019.

She also disclosed plans to construct a residential home for the Ambassador and Staff, to alleviate the financial constraints posed by continuous payment of rent for Minister Counselors and other Officers of the Sierra Leone Mission.

For their part, Senators Kaipay, Zargo and Representative Massaquoi thanked Ambassador Ruhle for her hard work, and promised to work with her to make the Liberian Embassy in Sierra Leon more viable.

They pledged to engage and lobby with their colleagues for more budgetary allotment for Liberia’s Diplomatic Missions.
