MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Supreme Court of Liberia will today, Tuesday, March 16, 2021, entertain legal augments into the Gbarpolu County Senatorial Election dispute case.

The case involved Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Candidate Alfred Koiwood and Independent Candidate Gboto Kanneh.

The appeal to the Supreme Court emanated from the National Elections Commission (NEC), declaring Gboto Kanneh as winner of the December 8, 2020, Senatorial Election.

Koiwood’s Legal Team took appeal to the High Court maintaining that there were fraud and irregularities as well as foreigners voting in the Gbarpolu election.

In a related development, the Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice will be opening for its March Term today Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

ELBC Judicial Reporter said the opening was pushed to Tuesday instead of Monday, March 15, 2021, because of the National Holiday
