Presiding Justice Yuoh halts Campaign activities

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Presiding Justice in Chambers has finally stopped campaign activities ahead of the December 8, 2020, Mid-Term Senatorial Elections.

Associate Justice Sie-A-Nyene Yuoh Thursday, October 22, 2020, said:” The National Elections Commission (NEC) was in error for not given Senatorial Hopeful Mulbah Jackollie due process.”

She maintained that due process must form the basis for all election matters, consistent with Article 20 (a) of the Liberian Constitution.

Justice Yuoh’s ruling means that NEC was in error for omitting the name of Mr. Mulbah Jackollie, as Margibi County Senatorial Aspirant.

Following the Justice in Chamber’s October 22, 2020 ruling, NEC Lawyer Cllr. Wilkins Wright conceded saying they comply with the mandate of the Supreme Court to meet the December 8 Process.
