Water and Sewer begins metering, licensing of commercial wells

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has commenced metering and licensing of commercial wells across the Country.

LWSC Communication Director Nelson Todd told ELBC Wednesday, October 21, 2020, that the move is in line with an act passed by the National Legislature in 2017.

Mr. Todd said:” Water, like other natural resources being used for commercial purpose; taxes should be imposed on such business.”

He wants the public to cooperate with the process, as violators will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

The LWSC Communications Director said the metering and licensing of commercial wells will enable the entity generate the needed revenue.
