Justice Ministry gives 24 hour ultimatum to former Passport Director…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Justice Ministry has given a twenty-four hour ultimatum to former Passport Director, Andrew Wonploe, to turn himself in to face prosecution.

Montserrado County Attorney Cllr. Edwin Martin said”| The ultimatum is a doctrine under speedy trial with a right to lawyer, and the right to appear in court.”

In an interview with ELBC Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Cllr. Martin said the indictment is yet to be served because Mr. Wonploe is in hiding.

He said:” Security forces have been instructed to ensure that Mr. Wonploe is brought to justice.”

The Montserrado County Chief Prosecutor also said individuals engage in shielding and protecting the former Passport Director are in violation of the Penal Law of Liberia.
