Supreme Court commits to dispensing impartial justice

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Chief Justice Francis Korkpor says the Supreme is committed to the dispensation of impartial justice, to uphold the independence of the Judiciary.

Justice Korkpor said:” To build a peaceful nation, it is incumbent upon the legal system to handle cases between or among people, using the Rule of Law.”

According to ELBC Judicial Reporter, the Chief Justice made the remark Monday, September 29, 2020, at a Special Sitting of the Supreme Court, in connection with an appeal for declarative justice between the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and Senator Dan Morais of Maryland County.

Justice Korkpor assured the public that cases brought before the Court will be decided without fear or favor.

He urged judicial officials to perform their duties void of politics, as doing so is counter-productive to the neutrality of the Court.
