Several communities in Montserrado County to benefit from Solar Pane Light

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Several communities without electricity in Montserrado County are to shortly benefit from solar panel light.

The project is being funded by the Government of Liberia and implemented by the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE).

Speaking during the Executive Mansion regular press briefing Tuesday, September 22, 2020, Deputy Presidential Press Secretary, Smith Toby, said:” The cost of the project is about US5M.”

He said LACE has already done an assessment of communities to benefit from the installation of the solar energy light.

According to him, an initial amount of US500,000 has been sourced to jump-start the project.

Meanwhile, Mr. Smith has disclosed that the newly constructed Goba Chop Market in Paynesville is expected to be dedicated by President George Weah on September 29, this year.
